So says Kbuntu running off a A Linux Pro DVD with a live boot image and with the packages for emacs22 installed into ramdisk from the DVD. I did this same exercise on this system with some other recent Linux distros, including Ubuntu with Gnome instead of KDE. It turns out that either Kbuntu or Ubuntu will run either KDE or Gnome. The difference appears to be which window manager comes up by default, and you can change that.
Today my neice is 25, and yesterday my daughter was 25. The day before that my eldest sister was 65. (I learned on the next day that my Younger sister, Janis died from lung cancer at home under Hospice care on this day.)
