I have reverted back to a hand edited HTML index for this journal because I
wanted to characterize each entry better than just with a file name and I
don't have permission to run a PhP script here.

Several of the XML files here lost their association with the style sheet and
wouldn't render. The problem was found to be with the DOCTYPE definition for the
data definition. An appearent fix is to remove that reference in the XML files.
There must be an error in the DTD file.
